Bacchanal

Bacchanal Weekend 2025

The time has come for our annual migration to New Haven for the 86th annual SOB Jamboree & Bacchanal on Saturday March 1st, 2025. Please join us for the concert, dinner at Mory’s, and the Celebration of our friend and legendary Immortal, Franklin Pryce Raff ’96, Elf King.

Events commence at 12:00 noon (11:30 if you’re up for it) with a light lunch and Old Man jam with the current group at Trinity Bar. No cost to attend – food and soft drinks provided, with a cash bar for those who partake. Meet old friends and the current group, sing a few belters, and find out if your shtick meets the test of time.

Then at 2:00PM we will gather at the former Whitney Humanities Center at 53 Wall St to remember and celebrate Franklin. All are encouraged to join, and if you like, share memories of our departed brother. Whether or not you will be there, we hope you will share digital memories of Franklin via email to eprater@cyrustelk.org or the ‘Add your files’ tool below. We’ll show photos and videos, play audio, and even read your letters and remembrances.

To the tables down at Mory’s at 5PM for a buffet dinner and cups (cost is $79, also including beer and soft drinks). Please register now. We must have a confirmed number prior to the event. Mory’s will not accept walk-ins on this evening.

The 2025 SOB Jamboree concert starts at 8PM at SSS, followed by the Bacchanal and an afterglow for Old Men and guests at Old Heidelberg. Ray Small has graciously sponsored the space for us, but please be prepared to purchase your own beverages or find another open tab.

Whether or not you’ll be there in person, we hope you’ll submit a memory of Franklin. Photos and other images, videos, audio, and even just text memories that we’ll read – all are encouraged. You may drag and drop folders or files into the box above or choose the ‘select a folder’ link to browse for your selection. The destination folder is private and uploaded content will not be shared outside of the event. Thank you.
